Don't be shocked. Your reviews are well done. I do agree that it helps to have information on cigar makeup though.

It would be great to have a show in So Cal. Kind of surprising that we don't. Having B&M's and manufacturers coming together to promote the cigar culture would help us all. We don't need to reinvent the wheel, just take what has worked elsewhere, perhaps make a few minor tweaks and bring it here. Chris got the essentials right. Of course, we would have to be smart and not have unrealistic expectations but count me in. If I can help in any way to make it a reality let me know.

Sorry to dissapoint. If you would like to know what a particular composition of a cigar is, you can check out their respective websites. I don't USUALLY break down the composition, but perhaps I need to think about doing that. I'm more shocked that people actually read these reviews...

I think have a CigarFest here in Southern Cali is a brilliant idea. After watching numerous videos of CI's CigarFest, I was distraught to find nothing similar here in Southern California.

What I'd personally like to see at the event is a wide variety of cigars, both well-know and less well-know brands. A chance to meet the makers. Having local craft breweries is a must. Stone Brewing Co (San Diego) & Craftsman Brewing Co (Pasadena) would be awesome. Of course, offer basic food options (hamburgers/hot dogs/etc). It would be good to invite online review sites (such as Yelp) to help promote the event and spread the word. Also, having professional photographers on-duty to give guests photo ops would a fun way to remember the event. A company called Project Photobooth does a great job of this.

Having a higher priced VIP Ticket option might be cool too. For a higher price, offer something like exclusive seating area, unlimited drinks, or free event swag.

Just some suggestions. Mainly, I'd just like to see a CigarFest occur here in Los Angeles.

The composition (filler, binder, wrapper) and construction of the cigar you're reviewing are very important. While you do a good job on the cigar's flavors, you only mention that cigar is Nicaraguan and that you're impressed with its construction ... ?

Hey all. I am a retailer, so here is the update on BV Cigars. Limitada is 100% Ecuadorian. Reserva has a portion of Dominican along with Ecuadorian. They have really done their homework. Flavor and aroma are INCREDIBLY similar to Cuban tobacco, but at the same time has it's own distinct profile. Beautiful appearance, construction, burn, and ash. 9 different sizes. Price tag of $15-$23 per stick. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Soon to be available at The Pipe and Pint in Greensboro, NC.
